Khetu is a young 20 year old girl residing in Rashaji Gadhda, a village beyond Balasar village in Kutch, which is also far away from the main road. Khetu was good with studies and has studied till 9th std. She always had a vision to start her own business. She is living with her parents, 2 brothers and 3 sisters

The family found a small shop in their village and rented the place at the rate of Rs.10,000 per year. The family started a shop and started selling chips, peppermints, sweets and other essential items. She and one of her brothers started looking after this shop. Since their village was far away from the main road khetu thought of increasing her shops inventory as there was more demand for these products. She and her parents approached Samerth’s team members for guidance on securing loan. Samerths team helped khetu and her family with proper documentation and they secured a loan of Rs.25000/-.

With this support they purchased additional items for their shop. This initiative increased their daily cash rotation. The family now earns Rs. 5,000 to 6,000 per month from the shop. Khetuben’s one brother who is a shepherd decided to sell some of his sheep and goats and from the money the family has purchased small piece of land to construct their own shop in the coming months.

Samerths team still helps them with proper guidance regarding paper work needed for any work related to bank loans or land deal.
